Description of side trimmer

Side trimmer as the key equipment of the continuous production line mainly used in metallurgical plant.During the rolling process, some of strip has small edge defects, likecracks, if not cut the edgesin time, the strip probablewill broken in the follow-up process.

It through two displacement and vertical circle blade to obtain a certain gap and overlap between the two blades to shear the strip. When strip through the two blades, the bladehas certain shear forceto strip, strip and the blade contact areawill deformation,with the increase of the bit depth, the deformation of the strip also will increase,when the deformation reaches a certain extent, pressurized parts will fracture.

Main featureof side trimmer：

• The structure with double head cantileverrotary hybrid power shear;
• Blade is double-edged, use end-face grinding, hydraulic nut locking；
• Opening width adjustment: stripshearing width adjustment driven by two oil cylinders, whichvia servo cylinder to adjust the strip width precision, stroke of the cylinder to ensure opening of the adjustment range.
• Shear blade Overlap adjustment: external absolute encoder driven worm geared motor through worm gear turns the knife shaft eccentric bushings ,achieve overlap adjustments;
• Shear blade side clearance adjustment: external absolute encoder driven worm geared motor, worm and the knife-shaft sleeveuse T-thread connection, through the worm gear to move the knife shaft sleeve, achieve side clearance adjustment.

The function of side trimmer:

It is use for trimming the edges of the strip steel, keep the same width of the strip, and prevent the formation of edge crack.
